Gurgaon: Pukhraj Singh Gill beat a field of 121 players to win the Tata Steel IGU North Zone Qualifier that culminated at the Golden Greens Golf Club here on Friday. Pukhraj with a final round of 3-over 75 finished with a four-day total of 304 to emerge five shots clear of second placed Harjot Singh Soni. Babloo Yadav finished a further stroke behind for a third place finish.

As many as 30 top finishers from the Tata Steel North Zone qualifier earned a card for the two categorized events – the Tata Steel Haryana Amateur Championship which form the first leg of the new season of the IGU’s National Amateur Tour followed by the Northern India Amateur Championship. The former will be played at Golden Greens Golf Club while the latter will be hosted at the Classic Golf Resort.
