New Delhi: Fourteen top clubs will vie for top honors for the All India Public Sector Football Tournament scheduled to begin from November 1 to November 8 at Ambedkar Stadium here.
Besides reigning champions – ONGC, Runners up Airport Authority of India , other prominent participating teams are Durand cup champions – Air India, Food Corporation of India, Employees State Insurance Corporation , State Bank Of Travancore , Reserve Bank of India, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, Bharat Heavy Electricals , Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertlisers, Neyvali Lignites, NELCO, Garden Reach, Kolkata and host – Employees Provident Fund Organisation.
Participating teams have been divided into four groups. Top team of each group will qualify for the Semi Finals to be played on November 6. The final is slated for November 8.
Hosts- Employees Provident Fund Organization will take on Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in the inaugural match on November 1. Chief Central Commissioner, EPFO Mr R C Mishra will inaugurate the tournament.
