Ryan International School win

New Delhi: Kartik Sindhu’s deadly three-wicket haul helped Ryan International School, Rohini beat Gyan Sarovar School, Ganwari by 52 runs in a Group F league match of the Coca-Cola Cricket Cup u-16 inter-school tournament, played at Bharat Nagar Government School ground.


Gyan Sarovar School, Ganwari won the toss and opted to field first. However, they failed to utilise fresh pitch and new ball as Ryan International School, Rohini posted a target of 108 for six wickets.


Ryan International School’s batsman Akbar led the batting charge with his gutsy 43-run knock. For Gyan Sarovar School, Himanshu and Dipesh claimed two-wickets each.


In reply, Gyan Sarovar School bowled-out in just 17 overs. Kartik Sindhu led the pace attack with his fearsome three-wicket haul. He was well-supported by Shivam Sardana (2/0) and Vineet (2/10). Ryan International School’s Dipesh was the highest scorer with his unbeaten 25 runs.


Karthik was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his match-winning bowling.

Match 2: In a Group C league match, Arvind’s all-round performance helped Government School, Posangi Pur beat GD Soni DAV School, Pusa Road by seven wickets at Vikaspuri Government School ground today.


GD Soni DAV School, Pusa Road won the toss and opted to bat first. But they could not materialised the opportunity and bowled-out at a meagre score of 49 runs. Government School, Posangi Pur bowlers Manoj Yadav (3/11) and Arvind (2/3) shattered the batting line-up of the oppositions and restricted them at 21 overs.


Faisal showed some resistance with his unbeaten 22-run knock.


In reply, Government School achieved the target by losing only three wickets. All-rounder Arvind led the batting charge with his unbeaten 21-run knock and won the match in 12th over.


Arvind was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his two-wicket haul and unbeaten 21 runs.
