Thiruvananthapuram: MG College, Thiruvananthapuram beat University College by 37 runs to win the Kerala University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament played here at the Medical College ground on Tuesday.

Batting first, MG College piled 147 for nine in 20 overs. Irshad top scored with 37 runs.

In pursuit of the target, University College skittled for out for 110. Viknashor was the wrecker-in-chief for MG College with his 3-19.

Meanwhlie, Mar Ivanios College trounced VTMNSS College, Dhanavachapuram by seven wickets in the third place play-off match.

MG College 147-9 (Irshad 37, Sourav Lal 31, Lal Krishna 3- 14) bt University College 110 (Saly 36, Viknashor 3-19).

VTMNSS College 86-9 (Vishnu 30, Athul Diamond 3-19) lost to Mar Ivanios College 89 -3 (Amit Sidharth 41)
