Chandigarh: Panjab University defeated MCM DAV College, Sector 36, by 2-0 in the Panjab University Inter-College Tennis Competition for Women.

In the first match, Neha Kumar overcame Jyoti 6-0, 6-0 while Rajvir Kaur beat Mishika by 6-1, 6-1.

In the second match, GGS College for Women thrashed PG Government College for Girls, Sector 11, by 2-1.

Jaspreet defeated Aastha 6-0, 6-0 while Ashima Garg got the better of Gundeep 6-4,6-4 and 4-6.

In the doubles category, Jaspreet and Gundeep trounced Ashima and Sukuti by 6-0, 6-2.
