Kulachi Hansraj and Apex Public School, Burari win their respective group league matches of Coca Cola Cricket Cup

New Delhi: Himanshu Bansal’s 6-wicket haul helped Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Ashok Vihar beat Lilawati Vidya Mandir, Gulabi Bagh by 10 wickets in a low-scoring league match of Group A in the Coca-Cola Cricket Cup u-16 inter-school tournament, played at Bharat Nagar Government School ground today.

Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Ashok Vihar won the toss and opted to field first. They took the advantage of early bowling on fresh pitch and bundled-out the oppositions in just 55 runs. Himanshu Bansal led the fearsome bowling attack with his 6-wicket haul and shattered the batting line-up of Lilawati Vidya Mandir, restricted them at 24.2 overs.

Himank Dhingra showed some resistance with his 14-run knock.

In reply, Lilawati Vidya Mandir chased down the meagre total without losing a wicket. Openers Ashish Aggarwal (21 n.o.) and Himanshu Batra’s (16 n.o.) unbeaten knocks achieved the target in just 13 overs.

Himanshu was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his deadly bowling.

In a another match, in Group D league match, Mudit Bisht’s 5-wicket haul helped Apex Public School, Burari beat Government School, Bawana by 7 wickets at Apex Public School ground.

Apex Public School won the toss and opted to field first. With the new ball and fresh pitch, they bowled-out the oppositions in just 70 runs. Mudit Bisht led the charge with his 5-wicket haul and shook the batting line-up.

Mudit got good support from Manish Tyagi, who claimed two wickets. Their tight and deadly bowling restricted the opposition at 15.1 overs. Rohit (16) was the highest scorer.

In reply, Apex Public School chased down the target by losing only three wickets. Nikhil (29) and Manish (18) led the batting line-up and achieved the target in 21.4 overs.

Mudit was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his fearsome bowling.
