Ludhiana: Rahul Sharma and Anjali won the boys and girls (u-18) category respectively in the 5000m race in the Annual District Athletics Meet that at Guru Nanak Stadium here. Rahul a student of the Nav Bharti Public School, Ludhiana clocked 17.52:00, while Anjali who studies in the Government Senior Secondary School took 28.00:11, Haibowal Khurd, got better of their opponents in boys and girls (U-18) category, res to finish the race.

Rahul was followed by secs to finish ahead of others while Lakwinder Singh of Government Senior Secondary School, Katani Kalan(18.37:19) and Jaswinder Singh of Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School, Doraha (18.41:67).

Rinky, Anjali’s school-mate came second.
