New Delhi: Inter -School  Girls  Football  Tournament  scheduled  to commence  from August  16 to September 3 at DDA Netaji Subhash Sports  Complex,  Jasola.

The  tournament  is  being  played  on  league - cum - knock basis ,organised ,  by  Delhi  Soccer  Association  (  D S A ) for  the  first  time in  the  history  of  Delhi  Soccer  so has  to promote soccer  at  grass -  root  level  &   encourage young  budding  girls  towards the  game  in  Delhi/ NCR        region,  acoording  to  DSA  secretary  Syed  Shaheen.

The  participating  teams have  been  divided  in  six  groups of  three  teams  each  in  the  prelliminary qualifying  round  league.

The  top teams  of  each  group  will qualify  for  the quarter-final league stage scheduled  to  begin  from  August 24.

The  Champion team  of  All  India  CBSE championship - Ahlcon  Public School(Mayur  Vihar), Subroto  Cup Champion/CBSE runners-up team- Vasant Valley,  Vasant  Vihar  have  been  seeded  directly  in qrs-final  league.

Mater  Dei  School ,  New  Delhi  will  open  their  campaign against  Amity  International  School,  Noida in  the  inaugural  on August  16.

The  kick -  off   is  at  8 .  30  am (  morning  session ). Lotus  Valley ,  Noida  meets  Sanskriti School,  Chanayakapuri while Carmel Convent School  will  take  on Ryan   International ( Mayur  Vihar ) in  other  matches  to  be  played  on  inaugural  day.
