Gaurav Nandjog beats Aseem Ingale 3-1 at Coca Cola Squash Open Championship 2012

New Delhi: Gaurav Nandjog made a thumping return in squash court after five years as he beat Aseem Ingale 3-1 (11-0, 9-11, 11-4, 11-2) in the Men’s Open category of the Coca-Cola Squash Open Championship 2012 on Day 3, played at Kendriya Vidyalaya Squash Courts, R K Puram.

Gaurav, who stunned Ritwik Bhattacharya in semi-final of the Senior National Squash Championship 2006, lost the quarter-final match in last year’s National Championship to finish at top-10 national ranking.

In Men’s U-23, Laxman Joshi of Jindal Squash Academy, Mumbai out played Paramjit Singh 3-1 (6-11, 11-6, 11-0, 12-10) at newly introduced category.

Laxman, who finished runner-up at the National Junior Squash Championship 2004 in U-15 category, lost first set but came back brilliantly to beat Paramjit of Indore in the toughest match of Day 3 of the 105th tournament organised by Indian Squash Professionals (ISP).

More than 350 players of all age-categories from all over the country are competing for the whopping prize money of Rs 3.25 Lacs. They were cheered by Squash players, enthusiasts and school children along with their parents.
