Bangalore: Vashista Pawar of Coimbatore, played an exceptional Day -1, round of Golf with an under Par score ( 69) at  Albatross –Hank Haney IJGT ( Asian Circuit) 36 Holes , Pre -qualifiers being held at Clover Greens Golf Resort , Bangalore.

Vashishta with 4 Birdies could have carded a record score but for solitary bogey and a double. Vashista cannot relax as leading top international and leading Manu (1st runners up of Tournament of Champions 2010 in Orlando USA) and Karan Arjun of Bangalore are tied second at 2 over 72. In girls it was Nikita Arjun who lead the field with a card of  3 over , 73 . Anikita Kedlaya led the field in category B.
The 1/3rd of the field would be eligible to play in a qualifier at Delhi – NCR later this year and  the  top three qualify for Asian Tournament of Champions in Thailand  and Winners in AToC travel to Tournament of Champions at Orlando . Hank Haney IJGA hosts these  events across world to promote Junior Golf .Hank Haney , after having coached Tiger Woods uptill 2010 has dedicated himself to the Junior coaching and has a lot to say for the growth of game of golf in India.

The Tournament has also got recognition from Junior Scoreboard – a leading Junior ranking system of USA which is adopted by most of schools and Colleges in USA for choosing players for admission on scholarships.

Recently in Asian Tournament of Champions 2011, Mile Saroha of India came 1st Runners up and this has been noticed by the Golf community across Globe reinforcing that systems in India are good enough to set up a world leaders in Golf. the leaders in each age category are as below:-
