Chandigarh: Saumya Saxena thrashed Preetnain Grewal 8-3 in an U-16 category match to qualify for the first round of the CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament for boys and girls(U-14 & U-16) on Saturday at CLTA  complex and Lake club of Chandigarh.

In another one sided encounter, Shreya Kalia of Himachal defeated Abhilasha Mudgil with a convinvcing margin of 8-2 to register her berth in the first round. In a close match, Prinkle Singh of Jammu and Kashmir managed to win over Sabhyata Nihlani of Delhi by 8-6.
