Chandigarh: K.K Sharma, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh presided over felicitation function  and gave away cash award of Rs. 42,44,000/- to the Sportspersons and brought laurels to the city beautiful at National level tournaments/championships in the discipline of Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Judo, Rowing, Skating, Softball, Table Tennis, Tennis & Yachting.  200 sportspersons along with 31 Coaches.

The Cash Award was given to first three position holders at National Championships, National School Games in all 3 categories and Inter-university competitions. 

V.K Singh, Secretary Finance & Sports, Sunil Bhatia, Director Sports were present in the distinguish gathering of Col. G.S. Dhillon, Arjuna Awardee, Wg. Cdr. Satish Bhatia, Chandershekher, ex ADGP President, Chandigarh Hockey Association, K.K Jairath, President, Chandigarh Boxing Association, Babu Lal, IAS (Retd.), nominated councillor.
