Chandigarh: Panjab University Campus on Wednesday came above a stiff fight from Principal AG (Audit) Haryana to pull off a 1-0 victory in a super league match of the Chandigarh Senior Men Football Championship being organised by the Chandigarh Football Association at the Sector-17 Football Stadium.

Though the match started on an aggressive note right winger Harkirat gave a pass to Jaspreet whose powerful shot was well collected by Audit goalkeeper Kulwinder Singh turning the match into a slight tizzy. In a counter move Haryana forward Varinder Kanwar unleashed a powerful shot which hit the goalpost and went out.

Stung by this goal Audit boys tried hard to equalise the score but failed in their attempts and PU Campus won the match by 1-0, earning three valuable points to be at the top position in Pool-B. Pr AG (Audit) Haryana has got the second position. Both the teams have qualified for the semifinals.
