Chandigarh: Panjab University (PU) defeated Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar by 10-1 in the first match of the day and thus Panjab University (PU) registered an impressive win in the men’s All India Inter University Softball championship which was held at the university sports grounds here on Monday.

The team of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar maintened as runners-up while the team of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, got the third place in the tourney and Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, secured fourth position.

While in the second match, the team of DAVU, Indore, defeated VTU, Belgaum, by 5-3. VK Singh, finance secretary gave away the prizes to the winners.
