Nava Raipur, September 18: Khalin Joshi won the inaugural SECL presents Nava Raipur Open 2026 on Friday, finishing one stroke clear of three rivals to collect his third DP World PGTI title of the season.
The 34-year-old from Bengaluru closed with a three-under 31 for a total of 13-under 123 at Fairway Golf & Lake Resort. His four rounds read 29, 30, 33 and 31. It is his ninth title on the tour, after wins at the Andhra Open in April and the J&K Open in August.
Joshi began the day with a one-shot lead, as our round-three report noted, and had to keep his nerve through several weather suspensions in the final round.
Rain cuts every round to nine holes
Persistent rain forced organisers to reduce all four rounds of the INR 1 crore tournament to nine holes, played over the back nine. Play in the last round was halted more than once.
Three players share second place
Om Prakash Chouhan of Mhow, Raunil Kukar of Panchkula and Anshul Patel of Ahmedabad ended together on 12-under 124. Each received INR 6,99,867. Chouhan’s closing 29 was the best round of the day. Joshi took home INR 15 lakh.
Order of Merit movement
The victory lifted Joshi from 12th to seventh on the DP World PGTI Order of Merit, with season earnings of INR 52,34,225. Chouhan stays eighth on INR 51,88,201.
Kukar jumped from 102nd to 54th and Patel from 84th to 47th, results that secure tour status for both.
Joshi on staying calm
“I now understand the importance of staying in the present, remaining calm and enjoying the moment,” Joshi said after the win.
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao presented the trophy, the tour said. Shyam Sunder Bajaj, vice-president and head of state, corporate affairs and corporate communications, Chhattisgarh, and Vikas Singh, chief business officer of DP World PGTI, were also present.
