India on a win-spree, bags gold and silver in Asian Grand Prix archery

New Delhi: India seems to be on a roll. The individual section of the first Asian Grand Prix Archery tournament in Bangkok saw India winning one gold, three silver and a bronze medal.

The two sensational teenagers Chittibomma Jignas and Rajat Chauhan made a duo and finished first and second. The 18-year-old Jignas gripped the event in a tie break after the duo was on par with 144-144.

The semi-final saw Chauhan ousting Nguyen at 149-147 and Jignas went to get a 147-143.

However the sad part is that India failed to seal the recurve division event. Mangal Singh Champia and Chekrovolu Swuro met some serious competition in the final. but, they settled for a good enough silver.
