Kolkata : Indian Football Association(W.B), was pleased to announce the association of Officer’s Choice as Title Sponsor for four years with State League which determines the top district based football club of West Bengal in a press conference held at Sports Journalists Press Club tent in Maidan today.
The State League is played among the winners of each district league of 2014/2015. This year teams from 19 districts will participate in the State League since Howrah could not organize their league during 2014/2015. The 19 teams will be divided in 3 groups of 5 teams and 1 group of 4 teams. Teams of each group will play on a home and away basis among themselves. andthe winner of each group will play in the semifinal round to decide the two teams that will play in the final to win the Officer’s Choice State League.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Utpal Kumar Ganguli, Hony. Secretary, Indian Football Association said, “We are extremely grateful for the support extended by Officers’ Choice who prior to agreeing to be the Title Sponsor for the State League for next 4 years has also agreed to be the Title Sponsor for Premier Division-A of Calcutta Football League for 4 years. With their support and commitment for promotion of the football in Bengal, I am confident that together we will be able to take Bengal Football to a new height”

He said," It feels great to associate with Football and it’s even better to see our favourite game spread its wings nationally. Developing and spotting grass-root talent is most important and this 4 year sponsorship association for the IFA State League will embed a real partnership. Sab khelar sera bangalir tumi football!” It may be recalled that just a few months back IFA announced its association of Officer's Choice Blue of 4 years with the Calcutta Football League (CFL) and the tournament has been rechristened Officer's Choice Blue CFL.
