Hockey India congratulates V.K Malhotra on his appointment as Head - All India Council of Sports

New Delhi: The government on Tuesday named veteran sports administrator VK Malhotra as the Head of the All India Council of Sports, which would have a host of eminent sports persons from all domains of sports, including cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and chess wizard Vishwanathan Anand, as members. Other former sports persons in the council include PT Usha, Limba Ram, N Kunjarani Devi, IM Vijayan, Baichung Bhutia and P Gopichand.

Expressing his delight on the development, Dr. Narendra Dhruv Batra, President, Hockey India said, “Hockey India congratulates VK Malhotra on his appointment at the helm of the All India Council for Sports. A leader is sports administration with many decades of experience; Malhotra will bring tremendous value in this role. I am confident that under his guidance Indian sports will scale new horizons. We wish him the very best in his new role.”
