New Delhi: India U-23 National Team, preparing in Czech Republic for the upcoming Incheon Asian Games, will be looking to build on the momentum from last match’s come- from-behind 2-2 draw when they take on third division side TJ Jiskra Domažlice at Domazlice Stadium here Sunday (August 3, 2014).
The Stadium is an hour away from Pilsen where the team is based.
The Indian U-23 squad along with three Senior Players are currently on a Preparatory Camp in Pilsen. They had earlier been together for three weeks in Bangalore as part of the preparation for the Games starting September in South Korea.
Captain Sunil Chhetri, who will be turning 30 when his wards lock horns with the Czech third division (Bohemian League) outfit, scored a last ditch goal –his second of the match – to salvage some measure of justice from a match India dominated from start to finish.
It was Sunil who scored first in the second half of the match only to see his goal getting cancelled in the next two minutes. Second tier side FK Banik Most took the lead even against the run of play but it was Captain Fantastic again to the rescue in the 88th minute.
Coming to their last game in the landlocked country in central Europe, and they take on TJ Jiskra Domažlice who have finished 4th in the Bohemian League or the third tier competition last season.
Domažlice won the fourth division crown in the 2010-11 season.
Match starts 8:30 PM IST
