IPL7: Bangalore vs Delhi: Players to watch out for

Both Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils are looking down the barrel and needs to win each and every match from now on to stay alive in the tournament. With both the teams looking to get back to winning ways, this looks like a contest to watch out for.

Let’s have a look at the players who can be termed as potential match winners from both the sides:

Delhi Daredevils:

Kevin Pietersen: Pietersen has not been at his best in the matches he has played so far barring the last match where he seemed somewhat close to coming back to form. Pietersen can change the course of a match in a matter of few overs and his form at the top of the order will be crucial for Delhi.

Kedhar Jadhav: Jadhav has been in tremendous form all throughout the season and has done the job of a finisher for Delhi coming down the order. Jadhav with the bat in hand can give Delhi an edge by adding those 10-15 extra runs in the board towards the end of the innings.

Mohammad Shami: Shami has had a poor tournament by his standards and needs to pull up his socks. However Shami does have the potential to strike early and can get the ball to move both ways which is handy in all conditions.

Imran Tahir: Tahir has been a real find for the Proteas in the shortest format of the game and can help Delhi to come back in the tournament by picking up wickets at regular intervals for his team.

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Chris Gayle: Gayle has still not fired in the tournament and it is only a matter of time before he gets back his form and when it happens we all know that the game is done and dusted right there.

AB de Devillers: Devilliers is the best player in the world right now and his form in the middle order may turn out to be a factor in posting a match winning total, not to mention his contribution in the field where he saves a lot of runs for his side.

Varun Aaron: Although Aaron went for plenty in his last match but he has looked the most consistent among all the bowlers in the team, atleast in terms of picking up wickets.

Y S Chahal: Chahal has been really impressive with the ball in hand for Bangalore and has picked up wickets every time the team needed it. Chahal also has the ability to stop the flow of runs which in T20’s can turn out to be really decisive in the outcome of the match.
