India a key focus at Soccerex Asian Forum

India was a key discussion topic amongst the high profile delegates from all across the world who gathered in Amman, Jordan to attend the Soccerex Asian Forum 2014.

There seemed to be high interest especially because of the India hosting the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017 and the changes to the Indian football league scenario that are being planned for the upcoming I-League and Indian Super League.

The AIFF Technical Director, Robert Baan, presented the ‘Lakshya 2022’ and the preparation plan for the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017 in a session dedicated exclusively to discussion on Indian Football. Present at the Forum was Sukhvinder Singh, Managing Director of Libero Sports India which is the official representative of Soccerex in India.

Some of the key personalities who attended the day 1 of the forum were HRH Prince Ali Bin Hussein, Sunil Gulati, Osvaldo Ardiles and Bryan Robson.

The Soccerex Asian Forum is taking place on 13th to 14th May 2014 at Amman, Jordan and the Soccerex Global Convention is scheduled to be held at Manchester, UK in September 2014 which shall see a delegation of 50 members attending from India led by the All India Football Federation (FICCI) and the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce (FICCI).
