New Delhi: Hockey India has expressed their grief over the demise of Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, President, Asian Hockey Federation.

Speaking on the sad demise, Dr. Narinder Batra, General Secretary, Hockey India said, “With great grief and sorrow, Hockey India would like to express its condolence for the departed soul of Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah. It’s a sad day for the game of hockey across the world. May his soul Rest In Peace.”

The Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament which is an annual hockey tournament conducted in Ipoh, Malaysia is named after him.
