Moradabad: Wenesday morning showcased two significant matches of play off to decide last 16 teams at 62nd Senior National Volleyball Championship in Moradabad.

Uttar Pradesh moved to the pre-quarters as they thrashed Delhi by 3-0. Uttar Pardesh dominated the first set as Naveen walled the net and Rohit attacked furiously. The second set was neck-to-neck contest in which former International Omveer crushed Delhi by his attacks.

Uttar Pradesh dominated third set in every aspect of game as they finished the match 25-12, 28-26, 25-19.

Now Uttar Pradesh takes on Rajasthan in pre-quarterfinal

Meanwhwile, Karnataka progressed to the pre-quarterfinals beating Andhra Pradesh 3-0. It was a complete dominance by Karnataka who finished the match 25-19, 25-17.

Karnataka will take on Punjab in last 16.

Karnataka moves to best 16 defeating Rajasthan by 3-1. Rajasthan won the first set by a highly controlled game. Karnataka bounced by and dictated next three sets to finish by 21-25, 25-15, 25-20

Punjab crushes Chandigarh making their way to pre-quarter final. It was complete one side encounter where Punjab dominated the show to finish by 25-19, 25-6, 25-18.

Tamil Nadu beat Uttrakhand 3-2. (25-17,25-, 23-25,24-26, 15-13).
