Moradabad: Tamil Nadu and Railways won the men's and women's titles respectively at the 62nd Senior National Volleyball Championship here on Sunday.
Tamil Nadu thrashed Uttrakhand in the final clash 3-0. Naveen Raja Jacob and G. R Vaishnav broke the backbone of Uttrakhand defence in the first set. The second set was ruled by explosive spikes of C. Jerome Vinit and Naveen. The furious jump serves by Naveen destructed first pass to clinch the championship title 25-17, 25-16, 25-14.
Meanwhile in women's section, Railways hammered Kerala in the final encounter 3-1.
Meanwhile Kerala defeated Services 3-2 (23-25, 21-25,25-19,25-17,25-10) to win the thrid place in men's section while in women's category, Tamil Nadu beat Haryana 3-0 (26-24,25-16,25-21) for the thrid spot.
