Here we bring before you the hits and flops of the match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Pune warriors India (PWI).

HITS

Sachin Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar played well and scored four back to back boundaries to get into the groove. After that it was no stopping for him as he scored a brisk 44 off just 29 balls to setup a great launch pad for his middle-order batsmen. MI went on to score 183 for the loss of just three wickets.

Rohit Sharma: Sharma played a swashbuckling knock of 62 runs off 32 balls. He scored 47 runs in the last five overs and 33 off them came against Ashok Dinda. He took complete advantage of the most fragile bowling attack of this edition of Indian Premier League. He was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his performance.

Dinesh Karthik: Karthik continued his prolific run and scored 44 off just 29 deliveries. His form assured that Mumbai Indians will surpass 150 quiet easily. His ability to take off the pressure from his teammates makes him much more valuable for MI.

Mitchell Johnson: Johnson bowled exceptionally well and gave those early blows to take Pune Warriors out of the contest. He got rid of the dashing opening pair of Aaron Flinch and Robin Uthappa and sealed the victory for MI. His ability to bowl in the right channel from the very first ball makes him a very lethal prospect for the batsmen. He ended up with the figures of 3/33 in his spell of four overs.

Mitchell Marsh: Marsh bowled well to pick up the wicket of Dinesh Karthik. He also chipped in with bat by scoring 38 runs off 26 balls and helped Pune reduce the margin of their loss.

FLOPS

Ashok Dinda: Dinda bowled pathetically and went for 63 runs in his four overs. Rohit dismantled him badly as he scored off 33 from 11 balls that he bowled to him. He was the main culprit because of which Pune Warriors were in no contest in this match.

Angelo Mathews: He has not done anything good for his side till now in the IPL. He bowled all his four overs and failed to utilise Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Aaron Finch who have been in better form. His decision making was disastrous as he persisted with Ashok Dinda who was not looking in great touch from the very first over.

Robin Uthappa: Uthappa didn’t click and was bowled for just seven runs. He survived for just nine balls in the middle. He needs to do better if Pune Warriors hope to win the matches in future.

Ross Taylor: Taylor hasn't been in the best of form. In his four outings, he has not yet scored a half-century and that’s make their middle-order very ordinary. He needs to buck himself up and needs to perform or else it will be an end of the road for PWI very soon in this edition of IPL.
