Coach Allan Donald asks Pune Warriors’ players to extend a helping hand to each other

allandonaldcoachofpunewarriorsPune: Pune Warriors coach, Allan Donald , has asked his players to extend a helping hand to each other so that they can perform well in the sixth season of Indian Premier League.  He emphasized on keeping a cool and calm enviornment inside the dressing room so that they don’t get distracted from the off-field or on-field activities.

Donald has been promoted from the bowling coach to chief coach after back to back poor performance in the last two editions of IPL. During the interaction with the media, Donald was said, “To uplift the moral, you need to have a relaxed dressing room and players caring for each other.  These young kids are in their comfort zone and to bring them out of it, you need to ensure that they bond together really well. Bonding will not only improve the team performance but will also make them understand how to work as a unit in the pressure situations. They need to be honest with their teammates and themselves to make sure they don’t create any negativity in the dressing room.”

Allan Donald knows pretty well how to handle the overseas players and he has some special plans for that. "I will specify the role to foreign players and how they should keep on going with that for next two month time. Focus will be the key for our success as we missed out last time because of that only.”

“Last year, things didn’t go in our favour and we ended up hitting the rock bottom because of our poor team selection. You need to stick with certain players to get some rich dividends and moreover, frequent changes always create insecurity in the minds of players which is definitely not good. The mantra to win this IPL is quite simple and that is focus on one game at a time. Treat every single match as a knock-out match and then see the result. ” he said.
