Fan Sachin backs him & so do his other million admirers, as Federer still has it in him to win the Wimbledon one more time

It does indeed take one to know and that is perhaps the reason why Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who is not seen commenting on some other athletes, has said that Roger Federer still does have it in him to win many more grand slams before calling it quits. Sachin like Federer has seen a slump of form but then has made comebacks on many occasions to prove it to the world that class is all that matters and form is temporary. The Little Master, who is backing Federer, said that the champion is capable of winning many more Grand Slams.

Federer is indeed going through a lean phase in his career and the last time he tasted a Grand Slam title was in the year 2010 Australian Open. He did win ATP titles but somehow a major title eluded him.
But then this time around in Wimbledon it does look that he would end his Grand slam and here are some of the reasons as to why we think it to be so:

Record: His record at the Wimbledon does make him a strong contender at the Wimbledon every time he enters the tournament. He has won a staggering six times here including five in a row from 2003-07. He would be eyeing a record equalling seventh title here at the Wimbledon and his past record in the tournament does give him an edge.

Class: He is a class apart and his record proves it. He has been a former world number 1 and held that spot for a record 237 consecutive weeks. He has won 16 Grand Slam titles and no other player in history has won more titles than him. He entered 23 Grand Slam finals and these records are enough to bill him as a favourite. And one can just not say that he is past his prime, he is still playing with same determination but then is not getting as successful as he should have been.

Ability to handle pressure: Federer knows the art of handling pressure better than anyone else. It has been seen in past that he is very good when it is down to crunch situation and it is this quality that would help him thrive in the grandest slam of them all the Wimbledon.

Hunger: He is hungry for a win and what can be more ideal for him than the Wimbledon, his favourite hunting ground. He has been eluded of a Grand Slam victory and he would definitely push very hard to win here and end his title draught. This situation can make him very lethal and if everything falls in place he can run riot.
