New Delhi: Punjab & Sind Bank beat Northern Railway 4-0 in the 6TH Oriental Bank Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Tournament being played at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi on Tuesday. In another match Army Xi thrashed CRPF 6-2.
Bikramjit Singh was the star of the day as he pumped in two goals (both through penalty corners) in the P&SB win. Though Northern Railway kept the PSB defenders at bay till the 30th minute of the first half, Bikramjit Singh gace PSB the lead by converting a short corner in the 31st minute. Thereafter, in the next three minutes PSB scored two more goals (Jasjit Singh 33rd minute, Onkar Singh 34th minute) to make it 3-0 for PSB by the end of first half.

Finally Bikramjit Singh scored his second goal in the 49th minute to give PSB a 4-0 win.

Earlier on Monday, four goals by Parminder Singh helped Punjab and Sind Bank to an 8-0 victory over Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), while Indian Navy beat Indian Air Force 2-1.
