New Delhi: Punjab and Sind Bank got the better of Namdhari XI 3-2 while Punjab National Bank (PNB) drew their match 2-2 against Central Railway in the Nehru Senior Men's Hockey Tournament being held at Major Dhyanchand National Stadium here on Tuesday.

Namdhari XI took the lead in the 15th minute when Harpreet Singh converted a penalty corner making it 1-0. However just five minutes later, Bikramjit Singh brought the score to 1-1 but Punjab and Sind Bank went ahead again in the 32nd with Jasjit Singh's strike in 32nd minute. But again Namdhari drew parity two minutes later through Gurmeet Singh. Harbir Singh scored the winner in the 45th minute through a penalty corner.

Now with six points, PSB is tied with Air India which meets Bharat Petroleum in the last league tie on Wednesday. A win or draw would carry Air India forward while Bharat Petroleum needs a victory to progress.

Meanwhile, Punjab National Bank played a draw 2-2 with Central Railway.
