New Delhi: Army Boys Sports Company, Bangalore beat NCC Directorate 2-1 in the group stages match up of the 40th Nehru Junior Hockey Tournament played here at the Dhyanchand Stadium on Saturday. Both the team played some tough hockey and were engaged in a neck to neck tussle. The first blood of the match was drawn by Army Boys in the 15th minute through Sanjib Dung off a penalty corner. 

The teams went into the half time with a score line of 1-0. However seven after the break, NCC equalized through a penalty corner by Haobam Papunao. But in the 49th minute Deepak Kerketa pulled off the winning goal thus bringing down the curtains on the match.

Meanwhile in another match Govt Raj Sr. Sec School, Sangrur thrashed Govt. Sr. Sec School, Jarkar 7-2. Govt. Sr boys were exert ultimate domination on the game especially in the first half where they scored five goals without conceding any.
