New Delhi: The hosts Haryana defeated Uttarakhand 12-0 in its opening match of Pool-A on day-1 of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (North Zone) played at Sonepat, Haryana on Wednesday.
Navneet Kaur scored five goals for Haryana, followed by Preeti (3), Devika Sen (1), Udita (1), Reet (1) and Sukhvinder (1).

Pool A- Haryana 12 (Devika Sen 4, Navneet Kaur 10,11, 33, 43, 69, Preeti 12, 18, 27, Udita 13, Reet 26 and Sukhvinder 46) beat Uttarakhand 0.
3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (North Zone)
Four goals scored by Harmeet Singh helped Chandigarh to register an easy victory over Delhi 5-1 in the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (North Zone) played at Sonepat, Haryana on Wednesday.
Chandigarh scored through Harmeet Singh (6th, 14th, 48th and 63th minute) and Maninderjeet Singh in the 50th minute while Rahul scored the only goal for Delhi in the 68th minute.
In another match of Pool-A Uttar Pradesh beat Uttarakhand 4-1. Manish Rajbhar, Amit Singh, Arun Kumar and Abhay scored a goal each for Uttar Pradesh while Sumit Kumar scored the only goal for Uttarakhand.
