New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh defeated Jammu & Kashmir 4-1 in their Pool-B match on the day-2 of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (North Zone) at Sonepat, Haryana on Thursday.
Himachal scored through Gurmit Singh (30), Amrit Pal Singh (32, 37) and Harmanjeet Singh (43) minute while Ramandeep Singh scored the only goal for Jammu & Kashmir in the 58th minute.
In another match played today Delhi drew 2-2 with Uttarakhand.
In the women's section, Delhi registered their first win in the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (North Zone) played at Sonepat, Haryana as they defeated Uttarakhand 3-0 in Pool A.
Shivani helped Delhi to score first goal against opponents in the 52nd minute. Payal scored another two goals for Delhi in the 62nd and 65th minute.
In Pool B, Himachal Pradesh beat Punjab 3-0 while Chandigarh also registered 2-0 win victory over Uttar Pradesh.
