Saifai:Three goals by Mohd Shaad helped the favourites Lucknow Hostel won the State Junior Men Hockey Tournament, defeating hosts Saifai Hockey Hostel by 5-0, at the Chandgiram Astro Turf Stadium here on Sunday.

Dominating the proceedings from the word go, Lucknow boys kept the rivals running for the ball and scored goals on regular intervals.

Shaad scored three goals, where as Faiz and Imran scored a goal each.

Earlier, in the semi-finals Lucknow Hostel defeated Lucknow Region 4-1, while Saifai Hostel crushed Jhansi Region 7-0.

Now, selected players from the tournament would be attending a camp of UP team from August 21, at the Lucknow Sports College. The 2nd Junior Men National Championship is to start on September 1 in Lucknow.
