Dravid: Haven’t decided on retirement yet

Indian batting legend Rahul Dravid has made it clear that he has not decided on retiring from Test cricket, reports The Hindu. He said that he is more nearer to his career’s end than the beginning. Dravid said that India is not playing a Test match again for the next seven-eight months and he has ample time to decide about the retirement.

However, ICC President Sharad Pawar said that it is the right time to bring youngsters in the game. Hindustan Times reports that the former BCCI President said that it is the job of the selectors to decide on the retirement plan of the senior pros and not the job of the cricket board. Pawar said that India has got a lot of young talent and we should take the risk of including them in the system sooner rather than later.

Australian media has criticized the Indian team heavily for their performance in the recently concluded Test series, reports Hindustan Times. The Australian media says that the confidence level of the Indian team was far below their opponents and that Indian team has played the Australian team back in form. They said that the Indian batsman with such great records looked helpless against the inspired Australian bowling attack.

The Times of India reports that MS Dhoni might just lose his Test captaincy following the team’s performance in the series against England and Australia. According to the report, Virendra Sehwag may be India’s next Test captain.
