National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) confirmed on Wednesday that three junior wrestlers have tested positive returned in the 57th National School Games which was held in New Delhi from December 28 to January 3. NADA refused to give out the names of the players or the schools they represented, but ensured that the guilty players will face strict actions against them, reports The Times of India.
The Hindu reports, Jacqueline Rose Kunnath defeated Mahima Aggarwal, 22-20, 15-21, 22-20 in the women's singles for the last qualifying slot of the Open National badminton championship in a tight fought contest. G.M. Nischitha and Sindhu Bharadwaj also qualified for the main draw.

Indian batsman Suresh Raina in a statement to DNA said that India can win the tri-series in Australia. Raina said that the loss in the test series will not have much impact on the One day team as they have done well in the past and are the world champions. He said that if India manages to win the last test of the series it will be good as it will set the tone for the rest of the tour.
More Indian shooters missed the Olympic quota place despite performing well, reports The Times of India. The India's 25m rapid fire team of Vijay Kumar, Pemba Tamang and Gurpreet Singh won the silver medal at the Asian Shooting Championships, but failed to secure the quota place.
