IOA should at least listen to IOC: Maken

New Delhi: The Indian Olympic Association's (IOA) decision to disband its different commissions makes a strong case for the introduction of the Sports Bill in the country, sports minister Ajay Maken said on Monday.

 

"The International Olympic Committee (IOC) told them to have the commissions in place. Unfortunately, these commissions have been scrapped after being set up. The entire procedure followed was opaque as nobody knew what happened. Such things make a strong case for having in place the Sports Bill as it will bring transparency," Maken told reporters.
