Lucknow: It was heartbreak for Saurabh Verma as he stumbled at the final hurdle as Taufik Hidayat walked away with the men's crown at the Yonex-Sunrise Syed Modi Memorial India Open Grand Prix Gold badminton championship on Sunday.
The experience of the former world champion was too much for the 20-year-old lad to handle. Using all his guile and keeping the pace of the match under control, the Indonesian showed his class to carve out a 21-15, 21-18 win at the UP Badminton Academy.
