Squash needs aggressive promotion: James Willstrop

New Delhi: When world No. 2 James Willstrop sits down for dinner at home, the topic of discussion on most days is squash. It's no surprise since James' father is reputed British squash coach Malcolm Willstrop.

The man from Yorkshire has followed in his illustrious father's footsteps from a very young age and has quietly risen to the top of the world ranking. As he heads into the PSA Masters tournament at the Siri Fort Stadium, James has a realistic chance of becoming world number 1 for the first time in his seven-year long career.

For James though, the No. 1 ranking is just another landmark. "At the end of the day it is just a number. At this level in the world, you have got to be a really good player to be even ranked in the top five.
