New Delhi: World champion Viswanathan Anand and Vladimir Kramnik drew their fifth round match in 36 moves in the Tal memorial chess tournament in Moscow on Sunday. Anand's unbroken sequence of draws in the tournament took his tally to 2.5 points.
Playing with white pieces, Anand was never in any spot of bother. The exchange of pieces led to further simplification and eventually the players were left with a bishop and four pawns each.
