New Delhi: The Indian wushu team reaped rich dividends at the 11th World Wushu Championship, winning four medals, including two silvers and two bronze at Ankara, Turkey from October 7 to 15.
Y Samathoi Devi (48Kg) and Pooja Kadian (60kg) won the silver, while Vishakha Malik (70Kg) and Sanjeev (90Kg) bagged the bronze.
The SAI had conducted three coaching camps in preparation of this International event. The first and the last camp were held at Udhav Das Mehta (Bhaiji) Central Regional Centre in Bhopal, besides a conditioning camp at Gulmarg (J&K).
The training camps and international exposures are in preparation of the Asian Games 2012.
SAI Director General, Desh Deepak Verma met the members of the team and encouraged them to enhance their skill by undertaking the training camps and learning from such international exposures.
