Djokovic is not taking anything for granted against Berdych

“Remembering is easy but it’s forgetting that’s hard.” This is what Novak Djokovic feels about his rival Tomas Berdych who defeated him in the Wimbledon semi-finals in 2010. It was that defeat which raised questions on the Djokovic's calibre but it turned out to be the blessing in disguise as he went onto claim five majors after that. He is expecting his match against Berdych to be a great encounter between and is hoping to advance further.

World number one was quoted by The Hindu saying, "Yes, I had quite a turbulent five, six months of 2010 but the semi-finals of Wimbledon came in the right time for me because I felt that was like a springboard for me. From that moment on everything started going uphill really."

Serbian added, "I hadn't played great in that match against Tomas, but credit to him because he played the finals that year and he beat Roger and myself, played a good match against Rafa in the final. So he knows how to play on grass. That's the only time we played on this surface. I'm expecting a difficult match."

According to media reports, Djokovic is not taking anything for granted and he ranks Berdych as one of the tough opponents but with the kid of rhythm he is in, he feels that his chances are quite strong.

"It's the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam. He's an established top 5, top 10 player in the world. But I feel good about myself at this moment. I think I actually play better tennis on grass than I played two years ago when I won this tournament. For now I'm feeling good. I'm No. 1 of the world. I have no reason to be concerned about my game," he concluded.
