Sachin Tendulkar might miss the final home game against Rajasthan Royals because of the sprain in his hand which he felt while hitting a six in MI's sensational victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad. He retired hurt at 38 which he scored in 31 balls. Mumbai Indians have already reached the play off stage.

According to media reports, Tendulkar might fail to recover before the Wednesday’s game against RR. He has shown some good form in last few matches and would have played a crucial role in this match for MI. Tendulkar has scored 287 runs from the 14 games he played so far this season, with 54 as his best effort.

Spokesperson of Mumbai Indians was quoted by Indian Express saying, “He has a left wrist sprain. It does not look bad. The team management will take a call on his playing tomorrow afternoon.”


Meanwhile according to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Gautam Gambhir has blamed lacked of consistency as Kolkata Knight Riders' biggest drawback in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. "If you play inconsistent cricket, the results will be before you. So this I think is the biggest drawback," Gambhir told reporters on the eve of his team's match against Pune Warriors here.


The defending champions are placed seventh in the points table with six wins and eight defeats, their slim hopes of securing a play-offs berth hanging by the thread. Gambhir said it was important for a team to click in all departments. "The important point is that if you don't play good cricket, you will be where you are. If you don't play well in all the three departments (batting, bowling and fielding), you won't win matches. So it is necessary for all the three departments to complement each other," he said.
