Sahara not to sponsor Indian cricket team after December 2013

Sahara India is deeply hurt after the response that they have got from the BCCI and has made it crystal clear that they will not sponsor the Indian Cricket Team after December 2013.

According to the reports in Times of India, official of Pune Warriors was quoted saying, “We would not keep the IPL franchisee even if the entire franchisee fee is waved off. Apart from that, we are pulling out from the sponsorship with Indian Cricket team too and this is a firm and final decision of Sahara India.”

He was quoted by Hindustan times saying, “We had a strong urge that we will withdraw the sponsorship from this very moment but keeping in mind the interest of players who are doing so much for the country and making us proud, we won’t do it. But yes, by the end of this year we will surely withdraw the sponsorship because of some non-cooperative behaviour of BCCI.”

As per the recent reports published in The Hindu, official was quoted saying, “Sahara assures its players and stakeholders that their Fees and other rightfully due payments will be protected and under no circumstances will they suffer. Sahara also assures its sponsors and other supporters who have shown faith in us that their obligations have and will be fulfilled and there will be no compromise on their status or rights.”
