I can trade my Orange Cap for the IPL trophy: Michael Hussey

Mike Hussey would like to trade his Orange Cap for the IPL trophy which they missed out on Sunday night to Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens. He was the star of the CSK’s batting line-up as he amassed 733 runs this season and earned that ornage cap which is being awarded to highest run getter of the season.

Chasing a modest 149 in the title clash last night, CSK's batsmen did not have the best of outings as MI bowlers restricted them to 125 for nine. CSK lost to Mumbai Indians by 23 runs in the IPL 6 final at the Eden Gardens here last night.

According to the recent reports of Times of India, Mr. Cricket was quoted saying, “I will surely give away my Orange Cap for the trophy. It’s an honour to earn this Orange Cup but I should have contributed with the bat in this crunch game.”

As per the reports in Indian Express, Hussey was quoted saying, "We had an absolute sensational season but unfortunately didn’t did well on the day when it needed the most and that’s why T20 is always unpredictable. Couple of wickets can disturb the momentum quote considerably but you've got to stay positive and philosophical about it. But yes we are proud of whatever we did in the last couple of months or so.”

Mr Dependable of CSK was quoted by Hindustan Times saying, "After losing the wicket of Raina and me, it became really hard for the rest of the batting force to propel innings. Mumbai did well as they bagged the wickets at regular intervals and within first eight overs or so our back was against the wall, but Dhoni kept us alive in the match but he failed to find any partner which didn’t give us that chance to sneak through.”
