It’s time to make the amendments rather than to cry over the spilt milk says Jagmohan Dalmiya

“It’s time to make the amendments rather than cry over spilt milk,” said the interim president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Jagmohan Dalmiya on Monday. He echoed that “Image of Cricket has been fluffed after the controversies of spot-fixing and betting and we need to do the repair work for that.”

Dalmiya has taken over as the interim head of the BCCI which allowed N Srinivasan to step aside from his president-ship. He was quoted by Indian Express saying, "Wait and see what powers I have. One cannot shy away from the situation. It is not a comeback"

He made it quite clear that his powers in BCCI are not going to be of president but he is yet to figure out what powers he would get to exercise. He was quoted by
The Hindu saying, "I may or may not represent BCCI at ICC, no decision has been taken yet. I am entitled, it is my choice."

He added, “Mr Jagdale has made it clear that he is not ready to return to the BCCI fold whereas Ajay Shirke is yet to respond.”

He also made it clear that the duo who walked out last weekend, is no more a part of the Inquiry committee that was appointed to investigate the Gurunath Meiyappan who has been under the police custody from the past 10 days.
