Skipper Adam Gilchrist expects better results from Kings XI in IPL 6

Skipper of Kings XI Punjab Adam Gilchrist is expecting a better result this year from his team as they are looking in much better shape than they were in the last edition of Indian Premier League.

According to the recent reports in Indian Express, Gilchrist was quoted saying, "We are ready to raise the bar of our performance in this season with the inclusion of some new faces to the squad. We had been in the race of semis in the previous two editions but were not good enough to make it. Consistent performance had been missing from our side but this time we will turn the tables for sure.”

He praised the decision of management of picking up some good bowlers and giving a fresh breathe to their bowling attack. He added, "Our batting looks really good with the likes of Mandeep Singh, Paul Valthaty and Luke Pomersbach. I hope our bowlers will also deliver something exceptional this season, presence of Parvinder Awana, Praveen Kumar, Manpreet Gony and Piyush Chawla will play a pivotal role."

Meanwhile, in the latest report of The Hindu, Gilchrist was quoted saying, “Darren Lehmann and W V Raman have helped me maintain my focus as a player so that I can give my 100 percent to the team. This season is my last and I want to enjoy I up to the fullest.”

As per the recent reports in Times of India, coach of Kings XI Punjab, Darren Lehmann was quoted saying, “It is really important for us to do well in this edition of IPL as we have missed out on previous occasion. Players are toiling hard to keep their performance in check and with some fresh legs in the squad it’s always exciting. Piyush Chawla and Bipul Sharma are looking in good shape and I hope they will be among the leading wicket-takers this season.”

Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab COO Col Arvinder Singh said, “This time our bench strength is looking really good as out of 25 players 24 had already joined the squad. Shaun Marsh is expected to join the team by April 20. We had included two players from auction and three from outside. Luckily, there is no injury concern as of now and I hope players remain fit and fine throughout the tournament.”
