Andre Russell is all geared up to perform for Delhi Daredevils

Andre Russell is all geared up for the sixth edition of Indian Premier League and has said that he is ready to fill in the boots of star players of Delhi Daredevils (DD). Kevin Pietersen and Jesse Ryder have been ruled out of IPL because of injuries which have put the Delhi into all sorts of trouble, but they will be getting some kind of relief with the inclusion of Andre Russell.

Delhi Daredevils (DD) will play their opening game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday. As per the reports in Hindustan Times, Andre Russell, was quoted saying, “I am ready to make up for the big guns that are not going to be with us in this season. Being an all-rounder, gives me an opportunity to contribute in every possible way whether it is batting, fielding and bowling.”

"Team performance will matter the most, not just me but everybody will have to raise their hands and start coming up with their best performances to win this edition of Indian Premier League," Russell added.

Meanwhile a report in Times of India, DD all-rounder was quoted saying that, "It is a new season all together and we are ready to do a fresh and positive start. In, T20 matches tables can be turned really quickly so predicting the final outcome is quite difficult. Yesteryear, I didn’t get enough chances to prove my worth but this time I will not leave any stone unturned.”

According to the recent reports in Indian Express, Russell was quoted saying, "Being a jack of all trades is crucial in the T20 format and that’s something I am quite confident of doing this time. As far as tackling Sunil Narine is concerned, it’s not so easy to take him off from the very beginning but keeping the wickets in hand can surely change the course of the game.”
