We are not against Pakistan or Pakistani players: Rajiv Shukla

ipl logoChairman of Indian Premiere League Rajiv Shukla on Sunday made it clear that that there won’t be any matches against Pakistan in the immediate future because of the present circumstances. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, when asked about why no player from Pakistan was not in the IPL auction’s list, Shukla said, “We are not against Pakistan or Pakistani players and we have made it very clear after organizing a successful ODI and T20 series which concluded in first week of January.”

 

Meanwhile as per the reports of Times of India, Rajeev Shukla said, “We have coaches and umpires participating in the IPL and there is no problem at all. But we will discuss the involvement of Pakistani players in the next full-fledged auction that will take place in 2014.”

 

IPL chairman was quoted by DNA, saying, “We will not play against Pakistan on any neutral venues because of the current circumstances and we have to wait and see whether the government will give clearance to host Pakistan in the near future.”
