Peter Siddle eyes on Sachin Tendulkar’s wicket in upcoming Test series

Peter Siddle, the leading pace-man of Australian bowling attack, has made it clear that they are going to rely on their fast bowlers to win the upcoming series against India. Siddle is among the eight players who will come to India on February 8.

Peter Siddle looks to attack Sachin Tendulkar in the Test series. He was quoted by the Deccan Chronicle saying that, “In the last series in Australia we came on top of him and would be looking forward to repeat the same. He has taken retirement from ODI’s but he will be coming hard at us. Bowling him out early in the match will always give us an edge over the opposition.”

He said, “We will simply stick to the basics of bowling and will try to bowl them wicket to wicket without giving them much chance to score. Pace bowling has been our strength and we will try to capitalize on it. Keeping patience while bowling on sub-continent wickets is very much required.”

According to the reports in Indian Express, Siddle was quoted saying that, "The best way of attacking India is with whatever your best line-up is. The way we've won Test matches for years now has been with our pace and I think that is going to play a big role. But Nathan Lyon is going to play a big role at the other end, and his game is going to flourish even more with the pressure we build at our end.”

"This is a new team  and we are going through a rebuilding phase. We have found some good opening batsmen in the form of Philip Hughes and David Warner and having Shane Watson will be an added advantage for us. All these are brilliant opening batsmen who can change the course of the game very quickly.”
