MS Dhoni signs two new riders for his Superbike Championship Team

Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Superbike Championship Team has signed two new riders, the riders will be introduced on November 7 when the team's "makeover" will be revealed in a grand function, says a report in The Times of India.

"We will share the profiles of the new team members and introduce them at the unveiling ceremony. There have been other significant developments that will be disclosed at the event," Arun Pandey, chairman & managing director of the team, said.

“MSD RN Team India had debuted in the 600cc class as India's first FIM World Superbike Championship Team. Despite its entry, mid-way into the season, the team put up a strong performance, peaking at the final race at Magny Cours, France with its rider Dan Linfoot pulling off a podium finish,” says the report.

Meanwhile, The Asian Age reports that Dhoni is ready to launch a bike racing school in India. “The announcement is expected at the official unveiling of Dhoni’s motorsport venture, Mahi Racing Team India (earlier known as MSD R-N Racing), in Mumbai next week. The racing school is likely to be based in the south as Chennai and Coimbatore boast of affordable race circuits,” says the report.

“I can confirm that Dhoni is one of the four directors of the team and R-N stands for Rhiti Sports (Dhoni’s management firm) and Telugu superstar Nagarjuna. Dhoni couldn’t come to see the races this season owing to his packed schedule, but he’s keeping track of all the developments. He will be there at the 2013 season opener to be held at Philip Island (Australia) if it’s not clashing with his cricket duties,” said Amit Sandil, director and principal of the team.
